Day 3 – Sunday, 28 July

Hi,all you lovely blog readers <3

just a 'quick' update :)

Had an amazing few days in Cape Town, feels like we've been here for weeks :) anyway, this morning had a really warm welcome by the congregation of St Philip's (our partner church). God has really made his presence known to us, and our hearts and minds are just completely overwhelmed by all these new experiences. We heard from members of our group and also members of the St Philip's youth, who were talking about what had stirred them to join up with us, and also what had stirred our team to make the leap to come to cape town.

After the amazing service, we had lunch with the church and then went on a coach tour around cape town.

Some of the sights we saw have really opened our eyes and made us think twice about our own personal lives back in the UK. An example of this was a township and mansions next to each other and only separated by a road. This really struck me as showing the injustice left by apartheid.
Lots of things to think about but my heart is really open to change and what God wants me to do.

Lots of love back to the UK

[Note from Natalie! We were so proud of our young people for speaking to the church here and sharing their journey and sense of call. They are so full of faith and joy and so supportive and encouraging of one another.]
